Whatever the pack speaks
One box in the cabinet, wired to the battery's own controller. It handles the translation, so a Pylontech and a second-life Nissan pack arrive in the same shape.
Digital battery passports and the evidence behind them
Digital battery passport software for connected fleets. Adaptr captures lifecycle data from the batteries you already run — state of health, degradation and the gaps in their history — and keeps it as the compliance evidence a passport, a warranty claim or a second-life assessor draws on. Prepare for the EU battery passport requirement without inventing the record it asks for.
How it works
Connect a compatible gateway to collect battery readings. Adaptr keeps reported values and derived figures distinguishable, so an operator can follow the evidence back to its source.

Readings are evidence. Nothing is overwritten, nothing is smoothed, and a figure we calculated is never presented as one the battery reported.
A gap is not an outage. Silence is not health. If a cabinet stops reporting, the screen says so rather than showing yesterday's number as though it were now.
A QR on the pack opens what the public may see. Buyers, recyclers and regulators each get their own view, all generated from the same observed history.
Battery passport software for battery operators
Composition, carbon footprint and supplier provenance describe where a battery came from. Operational readings describe what happened next. Adaptr focuses on that observed history.
Put the latest state-of-health reading beside earlier readings and periods of silence. Give a buyer evidence to assess before resale.
Build a history for a used EV or industrial pack’s next application. Use it alongside inspection and capacity testing; the record is not a certificate or a guaranteed resale value.
For battery energy storage system operators, connect compatible telemetry to a continuing record of battery condition and use.
EU battery passport requirements
From 18 Feb 2027, the requirement covers EV batteries, light means of transport (LMT) batteries, and industrial batteries above 2 kWh placed on the EU market or put into service.
A QR code is the entry point. Required information includes identity, composition, sustainability and performance data, with access rights for different readers. Operational telemetry is one part of that record.

The EU DPP Registry is live. The Commission announced its launch on 20 July 2026. Registry registration and keeping a battery’s operational history are separate tasks.
Adaptr’s pilot does not currently offer automatic EU registry submission. Confirm your registration and compliance arrangements before deployment.

Home and industrial storage over CAN or Modbus, and second-life EV packs through their own battery controller.
Compatibility depends on the pack, controller and firmware. Bring your hardware details to the pilot so we can check which readings are available.
What it doesn't do
A record is not a safety certificate. Observed telemetry supports an assessment; it does not establish that a battery is safe for a particular application.
It doesn't guess. If a pack sends no cycle count, the passport says the figure was derived, and from what.
It can't see why a cabinet went quiet. It can tell you that it did, when, and whether its neighbours went with it. The rest is on the site.
It doesn't replace a lab. A capacity test measures a battery. Adaptr records what the battery said about itself, every day, for as long as you own it.
It doesn't predict failure. Nothing here tells you when a battery will fail. It tells you what happened to it, with dates, which is what an assessment starts from.
Who built it
Built by Mr Omeni. Two years building the platform behind a UK EV charging network — charging sessions, OCPP, the parts that have to be right while somebody is plugged in.
Adaptr applies the same discipline to batteries: read what the hardware actually says, keep it, and be able to prove it later.
Before you buy, sell or repurpose
Compare the current figure with dated readings, its source and any gaps. Software can make that evidence reviewable; a physical capacity test establishes something a reported figure alone cannot.
A sudden change is a reason to investigate, not proof of tampering. Keeping earlier readings lets you compare the claim with its history and ask about repairs, recalibration or controller replacement.
No. The pilot provides recorded telemetry for an assessor to review. Certification, safety testing and suitability for a second-life application need the appropriate independent assessment.
It combines product and manufacturer information with sustainability, performance and lifecycle data. A QR code alone does not establish compliance. The required fields and access rules are set out in Annex XIII of the EU Battery Regulation.
Article 77 includes industrial batteries with capacity greater than 2 kWh placed on the EU market or put into service from 18 Feb 2027. EV and LMT batteries are also included. Check the category and applicable obligations for your battery.
Pilot programme
We're taking a small number of fleets through the pilot before the 18 Feb 2027 deadline. 30 minutes, your hardware, and an honest answer about whether the data you already have is enough.
